to the audience what a real conversation looks like between two people who are
attracted to one another. Allen uses subtitles to effectively demonstrate what
Alvy and Annie are thinking in their mind at the same time while they are
talking and saying something different, more politically correct, to one
another.

Woody Allen is making fun about how ignorance seems to be what
brings couples true happiness versus being well educated, neurotic, and over analyzing
